Structure of the Green Gear Alliance

The Green Gear Alliance (GGA) is a non-profit foundation that is committed to the circular processing of personal protective equipment (PPE), work clothing and work shoes. Together with manufacturers, sponsors and others, we are working on an efficient system for return logistics and innovative recycling solutions.

Board of the GGA

The foundation is led by a board of five seats, currently filled by manufacturers of workwear and work shoes. The board determines the strategic direction of the GGA and ensures that the foundation’s objectives are achieved.

Work groups for producers and sponsors

To accelerate the circular transition, we work together in specialized working groups. These working groups are accessible to producers and sponsors and focus on the following themes:

  • General – relevant topics that do not directly fall under one of the other themes
  • Communication – increasing the awareness and impact of the GGA
  • Resources – optimization of return flows and high-quality recycling
  • Member recruitment – network expansion and involvement of new parties
  • Launch – implementation and scaling up the return logistics
This work group will end in the coming months

Do you want to contribute to any of these work groups?

Advisory Board

The Advisory Board exists to advise the Foundation’s Board, both unsolicited and requested, on the progress of the Foundation and the route to circular work clothing, work shoes and other PPE. The Advisory Board is a reflection of the chain of personal protective equipment (view the Advisory Board profile here). Members of the Advisory Board are individuals and do not always have to be affiliated as a Producer or Sponsor. Stakeholders share their ideas, contribute expertise and contribute to the further development of the GGA.

The Advisory Board has been set up. The first meeting will take place mid May.

Anti-Competition Agreements

Within the Green Gear Alliance Foundation, parties that would normally be competitors collaborate on issues related to circularity. Therefore, anti-competition agreements are established that must be adhered to within this collaboration. These are as follows:

No Anti-Competitive Agreements
Avoid agreements on prices, market division, or other anti-competitive topics.

Limited Information Sharing
Share only the necessary information; avoid strategic data such as pricing and customer information.

Transparency and Documentation
Clearly record all agreements and decisions, and carefully document meeting.

Regular Self-Assessment
Regularly assess if these anti-competition agreements are met.
